رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ
Our Lord! Thou art indeed Full of Kindness, Most Merciful.^[59:10]
It was narrated that Salman said “I heard the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) say: ‘Whoever guards Ribat (the frontier) in the cause of Allah for one day and one night, he will have (a reward) like that of fasting and praying Qiyam for a month. If he dies he will continue to receive reward for what he did, and he will be kept safe from Al-Fattan, and he will be given provision.'”
Narrated AbuHuraira, Allah‘s Messenger (pbuh) said,” Whoever says: “La ilaha illal-lah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu-l-mulk wa lahul- hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shai’in qadir,” onehundredtimes will get the same reward as given for manumittingtenslaves; and one hundred gooddeeds will be written in his accounts, and one hundred sins will be deducted from his accounts, and it (his saying) will be a shield for him from Satan on that day till night, and nobody will be able to do a better deed except the one who does more than he.”
Narrated Ataa reported, I heard Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with him) narrating to us that Allah’s Messenger (pbuh) said to a woman of the Ansar (Ibn Abbas had mentioned her name but I have forgotten it): ‘What has prevented you that you do not perform Hajj along with us? She said: We have only two camels for carrying water. One of the camels has been taken by my husband and my son for performing Hajj and one has been left for us for carrying water, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: So when the month of Ramadan come, perform Umra, for’Umra in this (month) is equal to Hajj (in reward).
