Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet (s.a.w) said “This Fire of yours, which the sons of Adam kindle, is one part from seventy parts of the heat of the Hell.” They said: “By Allah! Would it not have been enough O Messenger of Allah?!” He said: “It is sixty-nine parts more.

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet (s.a.w) said “The Fire was kindled for one thousand years until it reddened, then it was kindled for one thousand years until it whitened, then it was kindled for one thousand years until it became blackened, so it is dark black.” (Da’if)

Narrated Salama b. Akwa’ reported, We went to Khaibar with Allah’s Messenger (pbuh). Then Allah granted (us) victory over them. On that very evening of the day when they had been granted victory, they lit many fires. Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (pbuh) said: What are those fires and what for those have been lit? They said: (These have been lit) for (cooking) the flesh. Thereupon he said: Of what flesh? They said: For the flesh of the domestic asses. Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (may peace bo upon him) said: Throw that away and break them (the earthen pots in which the fiesa was being cooked). A person said: Messenger of Allah, should we throw it away and wash them (the cooking pots)? He said: You may do so.

​Sahih Muslim (The Book of Fasting – 219)


Narrated Abu Sa’id al-Khudri (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah’s Messenger (pbuh) as saying, He who observes fast for a day in the way of Allah He would remove his face from the Hell to the extent of seventy years’ distance.

Surah Ar-Rad Verse No. 18


For those who have responded to their Lord is the best [reward], but those who did not respond to Him – if they had all that is in the earth entirely and the like of it with it, they would [attempt to] ransom themselves thereby. Those will have the worst account, and their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the resting place.

IbnUmar (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Prophet (Sallallahualaihi wa sallam) said, “Do not keep the fire burning in your homes when you go to bed.”[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

​An Nasai (The Book of Funerals – 116)


It was narrated that Anas said “A funeral passed by and the deceased was praised.” The Prophet said: “It is granted.” Another funeral passed by and the deceased was criticized. The Prophet said: “It is granted.” ‘Umar said: “May my father and mother be ransomed for you. One funeral passed by and the deceased was praised, and you said, ‘It is granted?”‘ He said: “Whoever is praised will be granted Paradise, and whoever is criticized will be granted Hell, You are the witnesses of Allah on Earth.” (Sahih)

​An Nasai (The Book of Jihad – 33)


Abu ‘Ali At-Tujibi (said) that he heard Abu Raihanah say “I heard the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) say: ‘The eye that stays awake in the cause of Allah will be forbidden to the Fire.'”

​Riyad us Saliheen (The Book of Miscellany – 389)


Jundub bin Abdullah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (Sallallahualaihi wa sallam) said, “He who performs the Fajr (dawn) prayer comes under the Protection of Allah, so beware lest Allah questions you about what you owe Him. For if He questions anyone of you and he falls short of fulfilling the duty which he owes Him, He will requite and then throw upon his face into the Hellfire“.[Muslim].
